Women's Recovery Homes

Established 2012

Our original mission: providing safe, supportive homes where women in early recovery can focus on healing, building life skills, and creating lasting sobriety. With structure, mentorship, and sisterhood, residents develop the tools they need for long-term success.

Women with Children

Established 2015

Recovery doesn't pause for motherhood. Our specialized homes welcome women with children, providing a stable environment where mothers can heal while keeping their families together. We understand the unique challenges of recovery as a parent.

Men’s Recovery Homes

Established 2019

Since 2019, our S.O.S. (Sights on Sobriety) house has provided men with the same structured, peer-supported environment that has made our women's program successful. Brotherhood, accountability, and shared recovery create lasting change.

Men with Children

Established 2024

Recovery doesn't pause for fatherhood. Our specialized homes welcome men with children, providing a stable environment where fathers can heal while keeping their families together. We understand the unique challenges of recovery as a parent. The only two houses like it in the state of Maryland.

What we do

Why we do what we do

Recovery housing provides a safe, supportive living environment that is free from alcohol and illicit drug use. These homes foster healing through peer support and by connecting residents to services that promote long-term recovery.

By living alongside others who are also pursuing recovery, residents gain both accountability and encouragement, along with access to vital recovery resources and networks.

About Serenity Sistas, Inc.

At Serenity Sistas, Inc., we believe that our clients’ needs are of the utmost importance. Our dedicated team is committed to meeting those needs and creating safe, supportive spaces where recovery can thrive.

We are proud to collaborate with the Behavioral Health Administration of Maryland, ensuring that our programs meet the highest standards of care and compliance.

Certified Recovery Residences in Maryland

In 2016, Maryland enacted House Bill 1411: Health – Recovery Residences Certification under Article II 179(c) of the Maryland Constitution. Effective October 1, 2016, this law defines a recovery residence as a housing service that provides alcohol- and drug-free living for individuals with substance use disorders, addictive disorders, or co-occurring mental health conditions.

Recovery residences are not clinical treatment facilities. However, any residence that represents itself as a certified recovery residence must receive a certificate of compliance from the credentialing entity. Residences that receive state funding must also be certified.

Serenity Sistas, Inc. is fully certified by the Behavioral Health Administration and maintains this certification in good standing across all of our locations.
