WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO

In 2011 the Director of Serenity Sistas knew that newly recovering individuals needed a safe place to go after treatment. A dream was formed, and in 2012, the first Serenity Sistas women’s house opened.
Based in Annapolis Maryland our homes are located on public transportation lines, allowing our participants easy access to any appointments, services and employment opportunities.

Knowing that recovery residences hold an important place in the recovery process, Serenity Sistas created a model that includes; a warm environment, the 12 step process, daily structure, mentoring and life skills needed to sustain long term recovery. Our homes allow for the personal growth of a person in early recovery, giving them a much needed safe and sober environment to learn in.

Our peer support helps to teach our participants to really use the tools they have learned while in treatment concerning sobriety. We have cultivated a place to learn responsibility and accountability through living with peers. Our guidance and guidelines provided upon entry help them start their new life. We provide the necessary environment for a new recovering person to learn healthy recovery habits and consistency that is key in early sobriety and will last a lifetime.

We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the industry.
